Regular offerings of Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) trainings are returning to Kitsap County. After many years of providing community members the opportunity to learn the vital skills and teamwork essential to assist and provide support in an emergency or disaster, the trainings were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The class will be held on three weeknight evenings and two Saturdays in the month of June.

CERT members are trained in basic disaster response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and disaster medical operations. CERT training is FREE and open to any person in Kitsap County over the age of 18. The class size is limited and registration in advance is required. All sessions must be attended to complete the course. You can register by sending an email to: mmoen@kitsap.gov
