Volunteers work through the checklist in setting up one of the KCDEM disaster shower tents. The shower system can provide heated water showers for emergency workers during times of disaster.
For example, after a major earthquake KCDEM may need to stand up portable field Emergency Operations Centers in different regions of the county. Due to expected damage to the infrastructure of power and water, these portable showers could be used to help support emergency workers helping to manage disaster response operations while living in an austere camp.
