Volunteer members of our Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) and Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) will be practicing triage, treatment and setting up a Casualty Collection Point.
It’s important when there is a mass casualty event such as a bus accident, mass shooting or devastating earthquake, that our volunteers have the skills to help keep the injured alive until they can be transported to a hospital.
In the case of a Cascadia or Seattle Fault earthquake, our professional fire and medical crews may be over-whelmed, and this is where having well trained volunteers who are part of an organized response can save lives.
For more information about participating in this event as a CERT or MRC member, please contact dem@kitsapdem.org.
