The Dispatch center advises they are ramping up changing gears, a program which allows for adjustment of lower priority 9-1-1 calls to be handled directly by fire agency dispatch operations.
The current high winds have increased 9-1-1 call activity and they are preparing in case it gets busier. Winds are currently forecast to start dropping between 8-11 pm tonight.
